This article studies Simone de Beauvoir’s hitherto unpublished novel, Les inséparables, written in 1954 and published now, 66 years later, by the author’s adopted daughter. It identifies a reading error passage of an autographic letter on which crucial episode novel is based. analysis reflects causes consequences that it determines modifying interpretation itself.
